Q: What’s the maximum weight your BC-flute boxes can handle?

A: A standard BC-flute double-wall box (600×400×200mm) achieves a box compression test (BCT) rating of ≥ 4,500 N, which safely supports stacked loads of 35–50 kg in parcel carrier environments. For heavier items (50–80 kg), we upgrade to AC-flute (9mm) or add vertical corner posts for additional stacking strength. For items over 80 kg, a triple-wall construction with pallet base is recommended.

Q: Does the tear-strip actually work cleanly, or does the board delaminate?

A: Our perforated tear-strip is engineered with controlled fiber cutting — the perforation penetrates the outer liner and part of the flute medium while leaving the inner liner intact. This creates a clean separation with a pull force of ≤ 35 N. We test 50 random samples per production run for tear-strip function, and our ISTA 3A drop testing confirms the strip stays intact during transit. The tear-strip is reinforced with a nylon filament embedded in the hot-melt adhesive line to prevent accidental tearing.

Q: Can I mix different furniture SKUs in the same box?

A: Yes. We design die-cut internal partitions and foam inserts to accommodate multiple components — table tops + legs + hardware, or shelves + brackets + screws. Each component cavity is sized with 5–10mm clearance for easy insertion and extraction. Q: What about moisture — will the box survive if left on a porch in rain?

A: BC-flute double-wall construction with kraft outer liner provides good short-term moisture resistance. For enhanced weather protection, we offer a water-resistant coating (wax-emulsion or acrylic) applied to the outer liner that sheds light rain for 2–4 hours. For extreme conditions, a full polybag outer wrap or a PE-laminated liner provides complete waterproofing. Note that the standard box is NOT waterproof — it’s designed for typical parcel carrier handling where exposure is brief.
