Guangdong Bincai’s plantable seed paper kraft gift box transforms packaging from waste into wildflowers. The box body is FSC-certified recycled kraft board, and the lid or decorative band is hand-laid seed paper embedded with 12 wildflower species. After use, the seed paper component can be planted — soaked in water, placed 0.5cm deep in soil, watered regularly, and wildflowers emerge in 7–21 days. The entire box (excluding the seed paper, which is meant to be planted) is ASTM D6400 industrially compostable. Printed with soy-based inks (VOC ≤0.5%) and assembled with water-based PVA adhesive (FDA 21 CFR 175.105). Seed Paper Planting Instructions (For End Consumer)
- Soak: Submerge seed paper in room-temperature water for 2–4 hours
- Prepare: Fill a pot with quality potting soil, leaving 1cm from rim
- Plant: Place soaked seed paper on soil surface, cover with 0.5cm fine soil
- Water: Keep soil consistently moist (not waterlogged) — water daily
- Sunlight: Place in a sunny location (6+ hours direct sunlight daily)
- Germination: First sprouts appear in 7–21 days depending on species and climate
- Transplant: When seedlings reach 5cm, transplant to garden or larger pot
